To identify suitable people from within each partner to train as Peer Educators. It is expected in most cases that these people will already have been trained and worked as Mentors.
To identify within the Personal Development programme those elements which could be most successfully delivered by Peer Educators.
To research into the skills needed by Peer Educators in order to fulfil the role.
To develop a Peer Education training programme taking into account the flexibility needed to work with a wide range of beneficiaries.
To pilot the Peer Education training programme through a residential 5 day course for all Peer Educators from all partners.
To match Peer Educators in each partner country with the identified beneficiaries from the target groups of disability, learning disability, disadvantage, refugees and immigrants.
To pilot the use of Peer Educators to support new entrants to education, training or work placements who currently do not have access to such placements.
To compare the use of both Mentors and Peer Educators against the support of Mentors alone to support those most disadvantaged in training and the labour market.
